This is a map of a strike fund produced by the Western Federation of Miners (WFM) during its strikes as part of the Colorado Labor Wars. Each point on this map represents a contribution to the WFM, with the size and color indicating the contribution amount. Larger points and darker reds are equivalent to higher donations. In essence, this map shows solidarity with the WFM during its strikes at the turn of the 20th century.
The source for this map are archival materials from the Clinton Jencks Papers, held at the University of Colorado, Boulder’s Rare and Distinctive Collections. Specifically, this map makes use of strike funds published by the Western Federation of Miners from 1903-05. Map created in QGIS 3.40.
